THE WHAT? PZ Cussons has appointed Hush CEO Sarah Miles as a non-executive director, adding international consumer goods, beauty, e-commerce and digital expertise to its board.
THE DETAILS Miles will join the PZ Cussons board following its AGM on October 1. She previously spent 12 years at Diageo and five years at Amazon, latterly serving as Apparel Director for Fashion in Europe, before becoming CEO of online beauty retailer Feelunique, which was subsequently acquired by Sephora. She currently leads UK fashion and lifestyle brand Hush. The appointment follows PZ Cussons’ return to growth, with adjusted operating profit for the year to May 31 increasing 24.5 percent to £59.5 million and revenue rising 5.4 percent to £541.4 million.
THE WHY? The appointment adds direct beauty, digital retail and international consumer brand experience to the PZ Cussons board, supporting the group as it continues to develop brands including Imperial Leather and St. Tropez and build on its return to growth.
