Kipaş Textile is investing in energy-saving technology.
The Turkish integrated textile production facility recently installed German textile machinery manufacturer Monforts’ new Thermex dyeing range and a Monfortex sanforizer at its new dyeing and finishing plant in Kahramanmaraş.
Thermex continuous dyeing ranges are known for their ability to deliver high productivity, excellent dyeing quality and significant energy savings. The Thermex system combines precise application technology with advanced process control to ensure highly uniform dye penetration and color reproducibility across long production runs.
The system also enables smaller lot sizes per color to be quickly executed, which Monforts said is becoming a trend in the industry.
Monfortex sanforizers are designed to deliver minimum residual shrinkage with excellent fabric hand and highly reproducible quality. Enlarged shrink cylinder and optimized rubber belt technology enable enhanced shrinkage performance at lower contact pressures, extending rubber belt life while reducing production costs.
“We offer a very wide and high-quality product range under our sub-brands, ranging from technical textiles to fashion-oriented products and from alternative sustainable solutions to high-performance fabrics,” said Halit Gümüser, Kipaş CEO. “This gives us unique flexibility against fluctuations in global markets and thanks to our agile structure, we continue to strengthen our strategic position and expand our sphere of influence with new collaborations, maintaining our balance even in times of crisis.”
The executive noted that Kipaş is “extremely satisfied with the installation process” and “the uninterrupted remote support” Monforts provided to ensure “operational continuity.”
Kipaş, which produces 400 tons of yarn daily, already operates several Monforts lines. The company recently established a new recycling platform that addresses the challenges of recycling polyester-based textiles at scale and partnered with Archroma to produce laundry-friendly fabrics. These new investments strengthen its place in the local market.
“Turkey offers fast logistics to European markets thanks to its strategic location, while its strong textile heritage and qualified workforce enable us to produce high-quality products,” Gümüser said. “Our R&D capacity—especially in sustainable and technical textiles—makes Turkey an indispensable solution partner in the global supply chain.”
Monforts is positioning its technology for the Turkish textile industry. The 141-year-old company is exhibiting this week at ITM 2026, where it will highlight coating solutions for technical textiles and its capabilities to retrofit machinery with new enhancements like Eco Booster, a heat recovery system with automatic cleaning, and the Matex Eco Applicator, an alternative to the conventional padding process for energy-conscious finishing.
