Elle Fanning opted for Proenza Schouler at the SAG-AFTRA Foundation conversation on her Apple TV series “Margo’s Got Money Troubles” in Los Angeles on Tuesday night.

The Oscar-nominated “Sentimental Value” star wore a look from the New York-based brand’s fall 2026 ready-to-wear collection. The skirt suit look capitalized on modern restraint, with streamlined style and subdued elements throughout.
The look was cast in a toned-down color palette with woven shades of blue and green. A black collar and black buttons running down the front placket of the long-sleeve jacket added a vintage-inspired bent to the overall look. The midi skirt and jacket incorporated sinuous lines for an extra touch of modernity.

Fanning added a pair of patent leather square-toe heels and went minimalist with her accessories. The actress’ hair was styled with a middle part and worn down with soft, natural waves by Jenda Alcorn. Fanning’s makeup included subtle, clean elements like lined eyes and a soft pink lip by artist Erin Ayanian Monroe. Stylist Samantha McMillen curated Fanning’s look.
Proenza Schouler’s fall 2026 ready-to-wear collection made its runway debut as part of New York Fashion Week in February 2026. Curated by Rachel Scott, who officially joined the label in late 2025, the collection marked the couturier’s first as creative director.

“The Proenza DNA was baked in with a few details from the founders’ early work, like grommets with a new strictness on topcoats,” Thomas Waller wrote in WWD’s review of the collection.
Other details from the collection included “tailoring ideas with skirt suits and a remix of the brand’s popular sailor pant, here with buttons askew. A houndstooth plaid was made from chenille check details, adding more texture to the touch on a trench with a leather base.”
