THE WHAT? Nykaa has partnered with Selena Gomez-founded Rare Beauty, expanding its premium beauty portfolio as it targets growing demand for prestige beauty products among Indian consumers.
THE DETAILS Under the partnership, Rare Beauty products will be available through Nykaa’s online platforms and across 30 retail stores nationwide, significantly expanding the brand’s reach in India. Founded in 2020, Rare Beauty has become one of the world’s most successful celebrity beauty brands, known for products such as its Soft Pinch Liquid Blush and its focus on inclusivity, self-acceptance and mental health advocacy. The launch comes as Nykaa continues to strengthen its premium beauty business, which remains its primary growth engine. In its latest quarter, the retailer reported revenue growth of 28.4% year-on-year to ₹2,648 crore, while net profit nearly quadrupled to ₹79 crore. Rare Beauty joins a portfolio of international brands available through Nykaa, including Charlotte Tilbury, e.l.f. Cosmetics, Urban Decay, SK-II and Chanel Fragrance and Beauty.
THE WHY? The partnership supports Nykaa’s strategy of expanding its premium and prestige beauty offering to meet rising demand from affluent, digitally engaged consumers, while providing Rare Beauty with access to one of India’s largest beauty retail ecosystems.
