ECO-PEAK: For the seventh consecutive year, Moncler topped the sustainability-linked Dow Jones Best-in-Class World and Europe Indices in the “textile, apparel and luxury goods” sector with the highest score — 91/100 — in the S&P Global Corporate Sustainability Assessment.

The Dow Jones Best-in-Class Index ranks the leading sustainability-driven companies based on economic, environmental and social responsibility criteria, which are analyzed by top credit ratings provider S&P Global, assessing more than 9,200 firms.

“Being included in the Dow Jones Sustainability World and Europe Best-in-Class Indices for the seventh consecutive year, and achieving the highest score in our sector, is a recognition that fills us with pride while reinforcing our sense of responsibility in the way we do business,” said Remo Ruffini, Moncler’s executive chairman. “We continue on our journey with commitment, discipline and passion, aware that there is still much that can and must be done,” he added.

Among the key 2025 achievements leading it to the top of the indices, Moncler cited improvements in its use of sustainably minded materials, including recycled nylon accounting for over 60 percent of production and cotton from organic or recycled sources, which totaled more than 55 percent.

Last year the group also further reduced its Scope 1 and 2 carbon dioxide emissions, cutting them by 46 percent compared to 2021. Moncler also supported 30 percent of its tier one suppliers in developing a plan for the reduction of their emissions and generally promoted awareness programs for its partners.

In the social responsibility pillar, the Moncler brand received the EDGE certification last year for equal pay between women and men at a global stage. The group said that 71 percent of its workforce is female and 53 percent of management positions are held by women.

Over the past five years Moncler also helped protect from the cold more than 163,000 people in need.

In 2025, Moncler Group achieved top scores for other sustainability ratings, including the CDP for leadership in corporate transparency and management of climate change issues; the MSCI based on the exposure to industry-specific ESG risks and the ability to manage them in comparison to peers; the Sustainalytics “2026 Global ESG Leader,” “2026 Regional ESG Leader,” and “2026 Industry ESG Leader” badges; the FTSE4Good Developed Index and the FTSE4Good Europe Index, and ISS, which identifies best-in-class companies in the textile and apparel sector.

These achievements fall within the “Born to Protect” strategic sustainability five-year plan unveiled in 2020.

Moncler unveiled its latest responsibility roadmap – “Side by Side Sustainability Plan” – earlier this year. It entails a further reduction of CO2 emissions at directly managed corporate sites and supply chain; the increased use of lower-impact fabrics and yarns, with targets set for 2028 to employ more than 70 percent of recycled nylon, more than 65 percent of organic or recycled cotton, and above 75 percent of certified wool.  The group also plans to provide protection from cold to more than 150,000 people in need by 2028.
