Mandy Moore put a slicker finish on satin Tuesday in New York, wearing navy patent Larroudé x Altuzarra slingbacks while promoting the upcoming family comedy “The Breadwinner.”
Moore wore Larroudé x Altuzarra’s pump in navy patent leather, a pointed slingback with a long tapered toe and a low, curved vamp that sat close to the front of the foot. The glossy upper covered the sides and opened at the back, where a slim patent strap fastened with small gold-toned buckle hardware.

The covered stiletto matched the deep blue patent, keeping the shoe narrow and sharp from the side without the heavier shape of a closed-back pump. While Moore’s navy shade is no longer available on Larroudé’s site, the collaboration silhouette is still listed in black patent and silver specchio for $490.
The navy worked because Moore did not treat it like a straight match. She paired the pointed pumps with Shushu/Tong’s appliquéd satin tank and matching skirt, letting the navy patent pick up the darker floral pieces scattered across the brown set.

That mix gave the look its point: soft brown satin, dimensional floral appliqué and mirrorlike patent leather, all kept inside a narrow palette rather than pushed into obvious contrast. Moore has been using her shoes this way through recent appearances, choosing pairs that sit close to the color of the outfit rather than breaking away from it.

At the Disney Upfront just a week prior, she wore a pink iteration of the celeb-favorite Paris Texas Lidia mule with a red dress, while a month earlier at CinemaCon, she paired soft beige sandals with a tonal Michael Kors look.

Moore’s pair also landed in the same patent slingback lane celebrities have been working through this spring, especially in pointed shapes with a sharper, dressier finish. Selena Gomez wore white Prada patent slingbacks for a Rare Beauty event in April, while Angel Reese chose black patent FSJ slingbacks for a Victoria’s Secret appearance in New York. Kerry Washington recently brought a black patent Christian Louboutin slingback to “The Jennifer Hudson Show,” keeping the shape in steady rotation across press stops, brand events and talk-show appearances.
“The Breadwinner,” starring Moore opposite Nate Bargatze, opens in theaters May 29. She is also back in the “This Is Us” orbit with “That Was Us,” the rewatch podcast she hosts with Sterling K. Brown and Chris Sullivan.
