Catherine Jacquet has been appointed chief executive officer of Isabel Marant, effective next month, WWD has learned.

Jacquet was most recently chief operating officer at Fear of God in Los Angeles, and before that was general manager of Paris-based fashion house Lemaire.

A graduate of the Institut Français de la Mode, she has had a varied career in fashion, working for the likes of Naf Naf and Levi Strauss & Co. in product and marketing roles, going on to work in senior management positions at Courrèges, Sonia Rykiel, Paco Rabanne and Maison Michel Paris, her LinkedIn profile shows.

She succeeds Anouck Duranteau-Loeper, who is “stepping down to pursue other professional opportunities,” according to a statement shared exclusively with WWD, noting that the incumbent CEO would “remain in her role until June to ensure an orderly transition.”

According to market sources, Duranteau-Loeper is poised to join Saint Laurent as its CEO Cédric Charbit reinforces management ahead of an expansion thrust. Her title and start date could not immediately be learned.

The statement highlighted Jacquet’s “track record of driving significant growth and value creation in her previous leadership roles.”

Isabel Marant, group founder, called Jacquet a “proven leader with a strong understanding of our DNA and a clear vision to realize the company’s potential.”

Henri Topiol, president of the supervisory board of Isabel Marant, concurred that Jacquet “combines deep knowledge of the luxury market, significant operational expertise and hands-on experience in key international markets.”

“We are convinced that she is the right leader to support and accelerate Isabel Marant’s next phase of development. On behalf of the shareholders, I would also like to thank Anouck for her contribution to the company’s development over these past 10 years and wish her every success in her future endeavors,” he added.

For her part, Jacquet said she was “deeply honored” to helm the company.

“I have long admired the brand’s unique heritage and distinctive identity. I look forward to working with the talented teams at Isabel Marant to write the next chapter of the company’s story,” she added.

Marant launched her label and had her first show in 1994, quickly becoming a byword for a hip, womanly brand of boho chic.

WWD described the house’s fall 2026 effort as “a high-energy urban collection filled with distressed denim, buttery leather and vintage-y pieces with an undone feel.”

The brand is also known for trendy footwear, particularly its high-top Bekket sneakers with a concealed wedge heel, launched in 2011. More recently, it unveiled collaborations with Converse and Havaianas.
