Though they didn’t match, the mother-daughter pair nevertheless demonstrated how their respective styles are in conversation with one another. Middleton wore a familiar lineup of designers she’s sported in the past, starting with her vibrant cashmere jacket in dark racing green by American designer Ralph Lauren.
Beneath the jacket, the Princess of Wales wore a black-and-white striped sweater vest by La Ligne. A pleated white Christopher Kane midi skirt picked up the white of Middleton’s sweater vest, while Camilla Elphick pointed-toe slingback pumps completed the British royal family member’s look in a neutral shade.

As for accessories, the Princess of Wales wore a three-star necklace by England’s Daniella Draper. Finishing touches included Kiki McDonough yellow-gold diamond hoop earrings and Annoushka Jewellery pearl drop earring charms.
Princess Charlotte gave a nod to one of her mom’s favorite patterns. The 11-year-old British royal wore a chiffon short-sleeve polka dot dress by Guess, designed with a white base and contrasting dark polka dots throughout.

The dress recalled several of Middleton’s polka-dot looks, including a red Rodarte dress with heart polka-dots at an event for cancer research in June, an Alessandra Rich at the Thanksgiving Service marking the 80th anniversary of VE Day in May 2025 and a blue-and-white polka dot dress worn to The Championships, Wimbledon in July 2022.
Middleton’s royal wardrobe has already had an impact on Princess Charlotte’s burgeoning style. The 11-year-old previously took a cue from her mom’s go-to designer roster with a blue Jenny Packham dress with butterfly sleeves at Wimbledon in July 2026.

As for the remaining members of the Wales family, Prince William wore a blazer, while his sons, 13-year-old Prince George and 8-year-old Prince Louis, went a bit more relaxed and youthful, opting to go sans blazer in white and blue button-downs.
Saturday’s outing in Scotland was among the family’s first public family engagements since June’s Trooping the Colour, at which the Waleses sported a color scheme of light blues and creams, with Middleton leading the charge in a Catherine Walker look.
