THE WHAT? Chanel has launched an experiential retail activation at Selfridges in London to support the debut of Rouge Coco Hydra Gloss, a new lip gloss collection designed to combine high-shine colour cosmetics with lip care benefits.
THE DETAILS Running from 22 to 29 June, the Rouge Coco Kiosk is located outside the retailer’s Duke Street entrance and showcases Chanel’s new Rouge Coco Hydra Gloss range, which comprises 18 shades and multiple finishes. The launch is supported by product sampling, shade discovery experiences and branded content, including the debut issue of Coco Magazine. The new glosses feature a formula containing 85% hydrating ingredients, including camellia ceramides and a hydra-peptide complex, reflecting growing demand for hybrid beauty products that combine colour and skincare benefits.
THE WHY? The activation highlights the increasing importance of experiential retail in prestige beauty launches, enabling brands to drive product discovery, consumer engagement and retail traffic. It also reflects continued innovation in the lip category, where beauty brands are responding to demand for multifunctional products that deliver both cosmetic and treatment benefits
