THE WHAT? Bluemercury has partnered with Flex to allow customers to use HSA and FSA funds on eligible skincare, wellness and beauty products purchased online.
THE DETAILS Through the partnership, more than 2,300 products on Bluemercury.com are now eligible for HSA/FSA spending, including professional-grade skincare, SPF, acne care, eczema treatments, dandruff care and post-procedure products. Eligible brands include SkinCeuticals, Augustinus Bader, La Mer, HigherDOSE, Therabody and M-61, with Bluemercury becoming the only luxury beauty retailer currently offering HSA/FSA payments for eligible La Mer purchases online. The integration allows customers to use pre-tax healthcare funds directly at checkout through Flex’s payment system, which includes real-time eligibility verification and optional medical necessity documentation support. Customers can also split payments between HSA/FSA cards and traditional payment methods for mixed-product purchases. Bluemercury said dermatologist-recommended skincare has become increasingly integrated into consumers’ everyday wellness routines, driving demand for clinically backed beauty products.
THE WHY? The initiative supports growing consumer interest in medical-grade and dermatologist-backed skincare while making premium beauty and wellness products more financially accessible through healthcare spending accounts.
