Wink Lash and Brow Enhancing Oil

As you get older, your lashes lose their color and they get sparser. So do your brows. Stress, waterproof mascara, not removing makeup, and a host of other transgressions also inhibit lash and brow growth. What a drag. That’s all I can say. But I am fighting it!

A couple of months ago, I wrote about using castor oil on my lashes. Castor oil is economical, but applying it with a Q-tip was kind of messy. Now, I’ve taken a step up with Wink Lash and Brow Enhancing Oil.

In addition to castor oil, it contains many other nut and seed oils including argan, jojoba, raspberry, pomegranate oils plus others I’ve never heard of! Wink Lash and Brow Enhancing Oil helps stimulate hair growth at the follicle. The folks who make Wink have learned through research that  if you supplement your eyelash and eyebrow follicles with essential fatty acids, you may stimulate prostaglanoid production, which results in fuller, longer lashes as well as fuller brows. Because the body can’t produce enough essential fatty acids, Wink includes omegas 3,6 and 9 from natural nut and seed oils to supplement EFA. Check out more of the science behind lash and brow growth here.

What I also love about this product is the applicator. It comes in a recyclable aluminum pen with a brush tip for easy application.

The directions for use are quite specific. The pen comes charged with enough oil for 60 days. You twist the top of the pen 360 degrees to charge the pen initially, and then turn it once 180 degrees to move the oil onto the brush each time you use it. It’s very easy to operate. Then you brush the oil along the edge of the lashes or along the brows. The instructions say you can rub in the oil if you like, but I figure the brush does a good job distributing the oil.

I’ve been using Wink Lash and Brown Enhancing Oil for about a month, primarily on my lashes. I’ve been trying to use it most nights. I take care to make sure I apply the oil to the little lashes on the inner corner of my eyes and the very outer corner of the my eyes where the lashes are sparsest. Using Wink Lash and Serum Enhancing Oil has definitely made a different for me. I have more lashes than a had before I started. And my lashes are longer than they were before I started. My lashes are still blonde and you can’t see them unless I wear mascara, but I’m glad they’re there!

Wink Lash and Brow Enhancing Oil is all natural, vegan and cruelty free. Each pen with a two month supply of enhancing oil is priced at $40. But if you subscribe to have a new pen sent to you automatically every couple of months, you save 5%. Wink Lash and Brown Enhancing Oil is made in the U.S., and it’s available through the Amalie website. There’s free shipping worldwide which is very nice indeed.

Amalie makes a second product, Shine Organic Brightening Oil. I am just starting using that one so stay tuned.

Do you do anything to grow your lashes or brows?
