Honestly, being in Los Angeles during the Knicks’ NBA Finals title win this weekend was somewhat painful. I love my adopted home of L.A.—just call me Rachel Sennott!—but I’m a New Yorker first and foremost, and even though I don’t really know any of the rules of basketball, it was tough to see just how wildly outside everyone I know in New York was on Saturday, drinking tallboys and dancing in the streets and getting their Knicks merch spontaneously embroidered.
