THE WHAT? Takasago International Corporation USA has entered a strategic partnership with Handcraft Entertainment to develop fragrances, flavours and consumer products inspired by the emerging “Global” J-Pop movement.
THE DETAILS The collaboration combines Takasago’s expertise in fragrance, flavour and sensory innovation with Handcraft Entertainment’s strategy to build globally recognised Japanese artists and cultural brands. The companies will create fragrance, flavour and lifestyle products linked to artists, music releases, live events and cultural experiences, while also developing experiential activations, brand collaborations and original content. One of the first projects will be a fragrance created with Japanese artist Mia Takarabe, following the release of her collaboration with Steve Aoki.
THE WHY? The partnership reflects growing interest in extending entertainment brands into beauty and consumer products, using fragrance and sensory experiences to strengthen fan engagement and expand the commercial reach of Japanese popular culture internationally.
