THE WHAT? Symrise has signed a put option agreement to acquire French natural fragrance ingredients specialist Floral Concept, strengthening its position in the fast-growing premium natural ingredients market for fine fragrance.
THE DETAILS Subject to customary closing conditions, Symrise will acquire 100% of Floral Concept, a Grasse-based producer of premium natural fragrance ingredients known for sourcing and transforming botanicals including jasmine, rose, orange blossom, ambrette and blackcurrant. The acquisition will complement Symrise’s existing Maison Lautier 1795 business, creating a dedicated Naturals platform in Grasse that combines expertise in responsible sourcing, extraction, transformation and fragrance creation. The transaction supports Symrise’s ONE Symrise strategy, expanding its portfolio of traceable, high-value natural ingredients while strengthening relationships with fragrance houses seeking differentiated and authentic raw materials. Financial terms were not disclosed, and the transaction is expected to close in the third quarter of 2026.
THE WHY? The acquisition reflects growing demand for premium, traceable natural ingredients across the fragrance industry, as manufacturers invest in sustainable sourcing and differentiated raw materials to support innovation in fine fragrance and premium personal care products.
