THE WHAT? RAW Skincare is closing after almost 10 years in business, bringing an end to the plant-based skincare brand known for its refillable packaging and simplified product routines.
THE DETAILS Founder Mike Indursky announced the closure in a message reflecting on the company’s mission to develop high-performance, plant-based skincare with refillable packaging. During its nearly decade-long run, RAW worked with formulation, packaging and manufacturing partners including Krupa Koestline, Arkay Packaging, PhytogenX and eXpack Labs, while supporting organisations including 1% for the Planet, Leaping Bunny and the Forest Stewardship Council. Indursky indicated that another venture or project is planned, saying details of the next chapter would be announced shortly.
THE WHY? The closure brings to an end an early refillable skincare proposition that sought to combine natural formulations, premium positioning and lower-impact packaging, as sustainability-focused beauty brands continue to navigate the commercial challenges of scaling alternative packaging models.
