THE WHAT? Procter & Gamble has appointed President and Chief Executive Officer Shailesh Jejurikar as Chairman of the Board, completing the company’s latest leadership transition following the retirement of Executive Chairman Jon Moeller.
THE DETAILS Effective 1 August 2026, Jejurikar has assumed the role of Chairman in addition to his responsibilities as President and CEO. Jon Moeller retired from the Board on 31 July and will leave the company on 14 August after a 38-year career that included serving as Executive Chairman, Chief Executive Officer, Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer. Jejurikar joined P&G in 1989 and has held senior leadership positions across multiple categories, regions and corporate functions, including Fabric Care, Home Care, Supply Chain, Information Technology and Global Business Services. He has been a member of the company’s global leadership team since 2014.
THE WHY? The appointment marks the completion of a planned leadership succession at one of the world’s largest consumer goods companies. For the beauty and personal care industry, continuity in leadership at P&G is significant given the company’s influence across global beauty, grooming and personal care markets and its continued focus on long-term growth, innovation and operational excellence.
