Paul Smith is taking to the Hamptons this summer.

The British designer is partnering with the Sunset Beach Hotel on Shelter Island, N.Y., for a two-week residency that will run through June 29.

Smith has reinterpreted a classic seaside escape through his distinct and colorful lens. The designer has taken over key spaces throughout the hotel and on the beach and transformed them into a variety of comfortable and playful spots that blend British seaside nostalgia with the relaxed spirit of the Hamptons getaway.

Custom Paul Smith deck chairs are positioned on the waterfront, a collection of board games offers a respite from the sun, and other witty, Paul Smith touches are sprinkled throughout the property.

The Games Room, Exterior Porch and Terrace Restaurant have all been reimagined and an exclusive capsule of co-branded Paul Smith and Sunset Beach Hotel T-shirts and tote bags will be available throughout the residency, alongside a selection of the spring 2026 collection that offers some of the house’s signature stripes in men’s and women’s ready-to-wear and accessories.

The Sunset Beach Hotel opened in 1997 on the island located between the North and South forks of Long Island. In the past, it has partnered with Chanel, Marni and Giorgio Armani.

Paul Smith is also popping up in other spots this summer including two in London: one on Floral Street and another at The Ned Hotel.
