THE WHAT? L’Oréal Morocco has appointed Gilles Delaunay as Managing Director, while former Managing Director Laila Benjelloun Touimi has moved into the role of Chairwoman.
THE DETAILS Delaunay will oversee L’Oréal Morocco’s operations, bringing 27 years of experience with the group, including more than two decades within its Consumer Products Division and most recently serving as Global Commerce Transformation Officer. Benjelloun Touimi, who has led the Moroccan subsidiary since 2019, will focus on strengthening institutional and stakeholder relationships and supporting the L’Oréal Foundation’s activities in Morocco. During her leadership, L’Oréal Morocco doubled its revenue and increased market share. The subsidiary currently markets 19 international brands across Consumer Products, Dermatological Beauty, Professional Products and L’Oréal Luxe, with distribution spanning supermarkets, pharmacies, parapharmacies, salons, perfumeries and beauty chains.
THE WHY? The leadership transition combines Delaunay’s international commercial transformation experience with Benjelloun Touimi’s established relationships in Morocco, providing continuity as L’Oréal develops its multi-channel and multi-division business in the market.
