THE WHAT? L’Oréal and South Korean cosmetics ODM Cosmax have signed a memorandum of understanding to jointly develop next-generation beauty products, ingredients and sensory innovations for the global market.
THE DETAILS The collaboration will combine L’Oréal’s beauty science, consumer insights and global brand portfolio with Cosmax’s product development and agile R&D capabilities. The partnership will focus on three areas: developing K-beauty-inspired products for international markets, researching new cosmetic raw materials and active ingredients, and creating new sensory signatures and product formats influenced by South Korean beauty trends. L’Oréal has worked with South Korean ODMs, packaging companies and raw material suppliers for more than 30 years.
THE WHY? The agreement strengthens the link between L’Oréal’s global scale and South Korea’s influential beauty manufacturing and innovation ecosystem, providing a platform to accelerate K-beauty-inspired product development and take new technologies, ingredients and formats into international markets.
