When Gracie Abrams took to the stage at Glastonbury 2025, she wore a flowing, romantic crimson Rodarte gown, offset by a patterned red bandana tied around her bixie cut. But it looks like Abrams is swapping one hot summer hair accessory for another: a puffy little headband.
The pop star—who dropped her latest album Daughter From Hell today—has been subtly working the Alice band with a little extra oomph into her wardrobe. She appeared on Jimmy Fallon’s couch and stage in a clingy vintage Alaïa dress and summery floral Chloé bodysuit: quite contrasting looks, but both paired with that same pumped up black headband. Earlier that day, she opted for Chanel’s color-blocky resort 2027 collection and finished it off with the hair accessory. For Gracie Abrams, it’s a slick and easy way to restyle and add some extra energy to her cropped cut.

The pretty, puffy Alice band feels ripe for a revival. A few years ago, Jennifer Lawrence loved adding the headband to her more sleek and ladylike press tour looks, while the royal Kate Middleton has stayed devoted to its more sculptural, tiara-like iterations. When Kendall Jenner had a dalliance with being blonde, she’d also add a minimalist hairband to her hair for some charming contrast. Of course, once can’t think of the extra-heighted headband without conjuring up an image of Leighton Meester as queen bee Blair Waldorf, who had a wardrobe full of them in all kinds of prints and patterns.
