Giannetos cut in what he describes as “love layers,” following the shape of a heart. “[There’s] a bit more lift on the roots and the first layers start hitting a little below the chin to the tips of the hair. Volume on the top and more narrow on the bottom,” he explains. It also creates “the illusion of contour” to instantly sharpen the face. It looks particularly good with a middle part, like Gigi’s, and maximizes the height. Giannetos styles the cut with a big round brush, pinning it up until the lengths cool down, before mussing it up with fingers.
