THE WHAT? The Estée Lauder Companies’ Chief Communications and Public Affairs Officer Meridith Webster has stepped down to pursue an external opportunity after five years with the beauty group.
THE DETAILS Webster joined Estée Lauder in 2021 as its first Executive Vice President, Global Communications and Public Affairs, consolidating responsibilities previously held across two executive positions. During her tenure, she oversaw the group’s corporate communications and public affairs as Estée Lauder navigated significant operational, leadership and organisational changes. Before joining the company, Webster held senior communications and public affairs roles at Vox Media, Bloomberg and Bloomberg Philanthropies, as well as positions within several US administrations.
THE WHY? Webster’s departure marks another senior leadership change at Estée Lauder as the group continues its wider business transformation under CEO Stéphane de La Faverie, including changes to its organisational structure and executive leadership.
