THE WHAT? dsm-firmenich has confirmed the appointment of Richard Ridinger as Chairman of its Board of Directors, following shareholder approval at an Extraordinary General Meeting on 19 October 2026.
THE DETAILS Ridinger succeeds Thomas Leysen, who has retired from the Board. An independent director since 2023, Ridinger brings extensive executive and board-level experience across pharmaceuticals, home and personal care, nutrition and health. He has also been elected to the company’s Compensation Committee. The appointment follows an earlier succession announcement in August and comes as DSM-Firmenich continues implementing its long-term business strategy.
THE WHY? The leadership transition strengthens corporate governance at one of the world’s major fragrance and beauty ingredient suppliers, bringing additional industry experience to the Board as dsm-firmenich focuses on strategic execution, innovation and long-term shareholder value.
