Ciara gave her clear shoe streak a color shift Friday at The One Party by Uber in New York, trading the mirrored silver finishes she has favored this year for Femme LA’s icy blue Whiskey Slippers.

The “Goodies” singer attended the World Cup-themed celebration at Pier 36 in the $199 Whiskey Slippers in an icy blue colorway, a minimalist mule style featuring a sharply pointed blue base, a single transparent PVC band and a slim 115mm stiletto heel. From the front, almost all the visible structure came from the pale blue footbed and heel, making her foot appear to rest on the outline of a stripped-down pointed pump rather than a standard naked sandal.
Ciara wore the mules with a sleeveless black Transcending Obscurity graphic T-shirt styled as a minidress. She repeated the shoes’ icy tone through the blue-and-white artwork across the front and kept the rest of the styling spare, adding stacks of silver bracelets at both wrists.

The color change was small but noticeable within a footwear formula Ciara has returned to several times. In March, she attended Karol G’s Con Cora Land Benefit Gala in silver pointed sandals with a clear PVC toe band and mirrored base. At the 2025 MTV Video Music Awards, she wore Gianvito Rossi Plexi Metal Cap-Toe slingback pumps, pairing a transparent upper with another sharp silver finish. She went fully metallic in April, hosting the Fashion Institute of Technology’s annual gala in Maison Ernest’s silver Lux mules with an elongated pointed toe and 100mm heel.

For Friday, Ciara combined the transparent front of the Miami sandals with the backless construction of the Maison Ernest pair, then replaced silver with Ivy Blue. She stayed within her recent clear-and-metallic streak, using the blue to connect the shoes more directly to her graphic T-shirt and give the formula a less formal finish.

Her timing also placed the look within a clear shoe run around the opening of the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Katy Perry performed in Aquazzura’s silver Sea Wave Wedges with transparent uppers in Los Angeles, while Tyla selected Jeffrey Campbell’s Booyah sandals, designed with a wide vinyl strap and cutout wedge, for the opening ceremony in Mexico City. All three used transparency selectively, pairing it with a colored or metallic base rather than relying on a fully clear shoe.
Uber hosted Friday’s soccer-themed party for Uber One members with a DJ set by Mark Ronson and a performance by the Backstreet Boys. Lindsay Lohan, Andy Cohen and Sophia Bush were also among the guests.
