THE WHAT? Caudalie Group has acquired a majority stake in French premium skincare brand Talm, marking the group’s first acquisition of another beauty brand.
THE DETAILS Caudalie founders Mathilde and Bertrand Thomas first took a minority stake in Talm in 2022 and will now work with founder Kenza Keller to accelerate the brand’s distribution and international expansion. Keller retains a minority stake and remains CEO, with Talm continuing to operate independently from Caudalie creatively and operationally. Founded in 2021 with a focus on skincare for pregnancy and postpartum, Talm has since broadened its positioning to sensitive skincare for different life stages. The 12-product brand is recording double-digit year-on-year sales growth and is available in around 60 doors across 12 countries. Caudalie plans to use its established commercial network, particularly within French pharmacies, to expand Talm’s distribution.
THE WHY? The acquisition gives Caudalie a complementary dermocosmetics brand with growth potential in the pharmacy channel while providing Talm with the distribution infrastructure and resources needed to scale across France and Europe.
