It may be difficult to believe, but it was a full decade ago that Beyoncé released her groundbreaking visual album, Lemonade. To celebrate that special anniversary, the singer stepped out for dinner in Beverly Hills with her daughters, Blue Ivy and Rumi, wearing a dress that paid glamorous homage to her Lemonade era.
The star’s long, puff-shouldered purple Saint Laurent gown, from the spring 2026 collection, recalled the billowing dress she wore in the 2016 video for “Hold Up.” While the original dress—which she wore to unforgettably smash some car windows in with a baseball bat—was a golden-yellow color and came from Roberto Cavalli, the updated Saint Laurent frock hit all the same dramatic and fabulous notes. Call it a fashion move for true Beyhive fans.
The star accessorized the look, meanwhile, with a giant pearl bag by Cult Gaia, as well as a pearl necklace and chic slingback heels.

The bigger question here is: Why did Beyoncé revive her Lemonade style? Was it simply a cheeky way to fête the album’s anniversary, or something more?
Next week, Beyoncé will serve as a co-chair for the 2026 Met Gala, so perhaps this was also a teaser of what’s to come on the Met steps. The star is also rumored to be releasing Act III sometime this year…could the look be hinting at that era, too? Because one thing about Beyoncé is that her style choices are always strategic—and she never misses.
