Adidas Anthony Edwards 3 Gets Most Detailed Leak Yet

Anthony Edwards‘ third signature sneaker is about to get the series’ most significant tech update.

The Adidas Anthony Edwards 3 will release late this summer and likely as the first basketball sneaker to make use of Hyperboost foam. Debuted on the Hyperboost Edge earlier this year, Hyperboost fuses a bunch of supercritical foam beads together to form a pebbled midsole. It offers 22 percent greater energy return than Lightstrike Pro foam, which caters more to speed, and marks the biggest change to Boost since it debuted in 2013.

Newly leaked images provide the best look at the Anthony Edwards 3, including branding confirmation for the inclusion of Hyperboost. A new series of arrow-shaped TPU overlays serve as the containment element, while the vamp, heel and outsole have the same general outlines as those on Edwards’ previous two models. The star player’s logo is also embedded directly into the tongue for some intriguing dimensionality.

For the “Cold Blooded” colorway, which could very well be the launch edition, a tonal mix of blue runs consistently through the sneaker, including a translucent outsole, beside a taped silver toe overlay.

In addition to his flagship models, Edwards has seen his line grow recently with a more affordable takedown model called the Believe That at just $80. His third signature sneaker will also be accompanied by a foam mule with a concave arrows motif.

The Anthony Edwards 3 “Cold Blooded” will release sometime in September (Launch calendars have it as Sept. 15, but Adidas often uses that day of the month as a place holder.) Pricing is set at $130.
