THE WHAT? Macy’s, Inc. has appointed Alexandre Choueiri as Chief Executive Officer of luxury beauty retailer Bluemercury, where he will lead the brand’s next phase of growth.
THE DETAILS Choueiri will join the company on August 3, 2026, reporting to Olivier Bron, Chief Executive Officer of Bloomingdale’s. He brings more than 25 years of international beauty industry experience, most recently serving as Chief Executive Officer & President, Americas, at Kering Beauté, where he led the company’s largest regional business and supported the expansion of Creed and the launch of fragrance brands including Bottega Veneta and Balenciaga. Prior to that, he spent more than two decades at L’Oréal, including as Global President of Ralph Lauren Fragrances. At Bluemercury, he will work with the leadership team to strengthen the retailer’s position in prestige beauty and accelerate its growth strategy.
THE WHY? The appointment supports Bluemercury’s continued expansion in the prestige beauty market, with Macy’s seeking to build on the retailer’s momentum in skincare, colour cosmetics and fragrance under experienced beauty industry leadership.
