Celebrities at the recent Paris Couture Week revived feathery fashion — with designs by Schiaparelli, Michael Kors and more.
Feathers and couture fashion have long flocked together. Since the early 1900s, plumassiers, or feather specialists, have worked with fashion houses to incorporate the material, both faux and real, into designs for couture and ready-to-wear collections.
While the spring 2026 couture collections included several feathery designs, the fall 2026 Paris Couture Week was a showcase for feathered fashion from Jennifer Lopez to Emma Corrin and more. WWD breaks down those looks, among others, ahead.
Jennifer Lopez

Of the two feathery looks Jennifer Lopez sported during Paris Couture Week, her plumed wrap in a grayed-out tone — with a slight green tinge — was a true statement. The plumed wrap complemented the “Office Romance” star’s sheer dress, crafted with a plunging neckline and augmented by yellow, green and other pastel tones. Lopez wore the look while seated front row at the Celia Kritharioti fashion show on Thursday.

Prior to her Thursday front-row feather fashion statement, Lopez was spotted in Paris on Monday wearing a selection from Michael Kors’ fall 2026 rtw collection. The “On the Floor” singer went for a black-and-white classic color palette, wearing a voluminous jacket with a bevy of white, wispy feathers, which was paired with a set of black Bermuda shorts.
Lopez accessorized her look with Giuseppe Zanotti cocktail mules and carried a Chanel quilted top-handle flap bag, along with a pair of Tom Ford sunglasses.

While attending the Ashi Studio fall 2026 couture show on Tuesday, Imaan Hammam put a structured minidress spin on the celeb feather fashion trend. The model wore a strapless look, which included a structured bodice with a feathery skirt cast in a monochrome shade of light brown. The skirt of Hammam’s look was full of plumage, with wispy feathers cascading with layered finesse. Hammam coordinated her pointed toe pumps with the feathery frock.
Emma Corrin

Emma Corrin spread her style wings with her Schiaparelli jacket while attending the Italian luxury fashion house’s fall 2026 couture collection presentation on Monday. The actor’s look hailed from the spring 2026 couture collection, a sharp-shouldered jacket with a gravity-defying hip and winged collar in shades of pistachio and coral.
The jacket was also adorned with four hand-sculpted three-dimensional bird beaks in shades of brown and mauve, with two at the front of the jacket and two at the back. Corrin’s statement jacket was made complete with a pair of black velvet pants and a black satin heel with Schiaparelli’s signature keyhole motif.
Naomi Watts

Naomi Watts’ attire for her front-row appearance at Balenciaga’s fall 2026 couture collection presentation on Wednesday also included a feather-style motif. The white dress shirt, which Watts paired with wide-leg black trousers, featured a feathery element with a layered affect cascading down the front.
