THE WHAT? Chinese beauty brand JudyDoll has opened its first brick-and-mortar store in Hong Kong, marking a significant step in its retail expansion strategy beyond e-commerce.
THE DETAILS Founded in Shanghai in 2017 and owned by Joy Group, JudyDoll has built a strong following through its affordable, trend-driven cosmetics portfolio. The brand offers more than 800 products across eye, lip and face categories, with popular items including its 3D Curling Iron Mascara, Iced Watery Lip Gloss and Highlight & Contour Palette. According to JudyDoll Hong Kong Senior Sales and Marketing Manager Clair Chau, the city was selected as the brand’s first physical retail location because of its influence on beauty and fashion trends and its reputation as a trusted retail market. InvestHK also welcomed the move, highlighting Hong Kong’s role as an international trend hub and expressing hopes that the brand will use the city as a base for further expansion. JudyDoll currently operates across multiple international markets, including Japan, Southeast Asia, Australia, Canada, the Middle East and North America.
THE WHY? The Hong Kong store strengthens JudyDoll’s omnichannel strategy, allowing the brand to engage directly with consumers while increasing brand visibility and supporting its broader international growth ambitions.
