THE WHAT? Galderma has joined the Swiss Market Index (SMI), becoming a constituent of Switzerland’s benchmark index of 20 of the country’s largest and most liquid listed companies.
THE DETAILS The dermatology group joins the SMI less than three years after its IPO on the SIX Swiss Exchange in March 2024. Galderma’s net sales increased from US$4.41 billion in 2024 to US$5.21 billion in 2025, driven by growth across Injectable Aesthetics, Dermatological Skincare and Therapeutic Dermatology. First-half 2026 sales increased 24.6 percent year-on-year at constant currency, prompting the company to raise its full-year sales growth guidance to 19–21 percent. L’Oréal currently owns 20 percent of Galderma, with the remaining 80 percent in free float.
THE WHY? Inclusion in the SMI marks a significant milestone in Galderma’s development as a publicly listed company and reflects the growing scale of its dermatology business and its importance within the Swiss capital market.
