How did Indian-American singer and actor Diljit Dosanjh come into possession of his Satoshi Nakamoto studded weekender bag? “I’m on tour and I love shopping,” he explains, taking us through the items he likes to have on hand in the latest installment of Vogue’s In the Bag series.
The Gutka Sahib that Dosanjh has carried with him throughout his career is never far from his side, but he makes room for other things too—including plant-derived beauty essentials. His go-to is a mix of neem oil and mustard oil that he applies to his belly button nightly, explaining: “This helps me a lot…it’s very important to nurture your belly button.” Dosanjh is working on his next tour and album at the moment, so his laptop and fabulously retro flip phone are always within reach, as are sentimental favorites like a necklace that was gifted to him by a fan and the salai needle he uses to affix his turban.
The most surprising item in Dosanjh’s bag, though, has to be the frother he proudly whips out, explaining that he likes an Americano with a little bit of (perfectly frothed) milk. After all, when you’re as internationally booked and busy as Dosanjh, you can’t take a risk on mediocre on-the-go coffee!
