Dogue is back and better than ever! We’re thrilled to announce the second edition of the Dogue competition, which will see one lucky pup land their very own digital Dogue cover—appearing alongside some of our favorite celebrity canines on August 18, 2026.
Dogue took the internet, and the Vogue office, by storm last year as we received 56,749 doggone gorgeous entries. The ensuing judging process was grueling, with Vogue colleagues battling it out to prove why their favorite mutt deserved to be the 2025 Dogue cover star. Ultimately, we crowned the formidable Tango as our winner—a brown and white pooch whose elegant pose upon an upholstered armchair captured the hearts, minds, and aesthetic eye of our panel.
But Tango’s reign is coming to an end as we embark on the search for this year’s cover star. We are looking for a pup that has that extra something—after all, a million hounds would kill for this job.
We will be judging the entries based on photo composition (50%), dog’s personality conveyed through the photo (25%), and good “dogueness” (25%). Our esteemed judges include Chloe Malle (Head of Editorial Content, U.S Vogue), Raul Martinez (Global Creative Director, Vogue), Parker Hubbard (Global Design Director), Ignacio Murillo (Global Talent Casting Director), Samantha Sussman (Global Director, Social, Vogue) and Virginia Smith (Global Head of Fashion Network).
Applying is easy: just download the Vogue app, head over to the Dogue x Open Casting form, and follow the instructions to submit your favorite photo of your dog (make sure they look fetching!) between now and August 4. From there, anything is paws-ible.
