Salt Life is expanding its reach.

The brand, part of Iconix International’s portfolio, last year entered into an exclusive footwear licensing partnership with The SG Cos. for broad distribution across the U.S. and Canada. The partners will show the new line for spring ’27 during FFANY Market Week, which kicks off June 3.

The collection features comfort and style as the top priorities, using natural and water-friendly materials that include raffia, denim, and woven neoprene while including anatomical cork footbeds for all-day wear.

“Women’s is a key growth category for Salt Life and an important part of how we continue expanding the brand’s positioning,” said Ryan Sainsott, senior vice president of brand and operations at Iconix. The women’s footwear launch with SG Companies allows us to bring consumers versatile, comfortable product that fits naturally into her everyday life, from the beach to beyond.”

The line has opening price points at between $39.95 to $59.95 for beach flip flops, water-friendly sandals and everyday comfort styles.

A mid-range tier starting from $69.95 to $109.95 are for elevated slides, espadrilles, wedges, and drainage-driven water sneakers, according to SG Footwear. The premium options priced from $119.95 to $179.95 feature cork footbed sneakers, woven mules, raffia heels, and leather casuals.

There is also a boutique segment, with western/coastal mules and boots beginning at $189.95 and up through $289.95.

The collection opens the door to multiple retail channels — from mass and better to coastal lifestyle and resort — as well as department store and boutique accounts and online.

“Women are looking for footwear that works harder across their lifestyles — something comfortable enough for travel, beach days, errands, and weekends, but still feminine and styled enough to feel intentional,” said Bryan Splendido, senior design director for Salt Life. “Salt Life is in a great position to own that space because the brand already has authentic coastal credibility, and this collection brings that mindset to life through accessible price points, water-friendly function, and elevated casual design.”

SG Footwear added that because much of women’s summer footwear is either too basic, too fashion-only, or too technical, Salt Life be positioned in the sweet spot where coastal meets comfortable, versatile, and functional that is also feminine and trend-aware.

“What sets this apart is the full ecosystem and a price architecture that can reach multiple consumers and retail channels,” Splendido said.

Salt Life was sold to Iconix and Hilco Merchant Resources in 2024.
