Nike Air Max 95 Big Bubble Premium ‘Reverse Solar Red’ IV6425-060

The feverish buzz around Nike’s remastered Air Max 95 Big Bubble sneaker may have cooled off a bit since its summer 2025 introduction, but the Beaverton, Ore.-based sportswear company is still taking a curated approach to new styles of the classic retro runner. 

Case in point is a new premium version of the Air Max 95 Big Bubble, which reverses one of the sneaker’s original styles from 1995. After releasing the OG-style Solar Red colorway in October, Nike has quietly released a flipped version of the style which inverses its light-to-dark gray gradient fade. 

Rather than beginning with a black midsole and gradually shifting to white at the tongue like the original, the Reverse Solar Red look employs the opposite with a white midsole that gets darker as you progress up the shoe.

After feedback from sneaker enthusiasts complaining that the sneaker’s Air units had shrunken over the years, the Air Max 95 was reintroduced in its Big Bubble form last summer. The remastered variation featured larger visible Air windows and an improved shape which was universally praised by industry insiders.

“I appreciate what Nike did with the Big Bubble, it shows a willingness to revisit the roots and bring something full circle,” James Whitner, founder of The Whitaker Group, told Footwear News last year. “This version gives people a peek behind the curtain, almost like a director’s cut of the original. It invites deeper appreciation from both the old heads who remember the first wave and the new generation just now discovering it. For me, it’s a reminder that timeless design can always be reimagined, as long as the intention is pure.”

The Nike Air Max 95 Big Bubble Premium Reverse Solar Red has a full colorway of Anthracite/Light Graphite/Light Charcoal/Solar Red and its style code is IV6425-060. The pair is available now from nike.com and select retailers for $190.
