Monica Barbaro brought designer George Trochopoulos’ sense of summer fun to Tuesday night’s episode of “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” in New York City.

The Oscar-nominated “A Complete Unknown” actress wore a red and white striped micro minidress with coordinating heeled sandals. The dress, cinched together in the back, created an illusion effect as contrasting red and white stripes narrowed at the waist.
Evoking sultry summer nights, the George Trochopoulos sleeveless design included a micro hemline that recalled the polarizing late 1990s and early 2000s style that appeared on both the runway and in retail, igniting a cultural debate around the trend.

The playful, flirty minidress matched the verve of Barbaro’s latest film “One Night Only.” Along with the summery dress, Barbarbo wore a pair of red ribbon sandals courtesy of Gianvito Rossi. Stylist Elizabeth Saltzman curated Barbaro’s latest look.
Barbaro has kept her “One Night Only” press tour wardrobe firmly in summer mode. While promoting the romantic comedy, the actress has favored styles that feel light and breezy, yet still elevated without too much fuss.

A prime example came at Monday night’s New York City premiere of “One Night Only,” for which Barbaro wore a customized iteration of a Jonathan Anderson-designed Dior cruise 2027 look with a statement floral appliqué that continued the summery thread.
Dior is a fashion house with which Barbaro has developed a strong partnership. Following her breakout turn in 2024’s “A Complete Unknown,” in which the Oscar-nominated star played folk singer and activist Joan Baez, Barbaro was appointed an ambassador for the French luxury fashion house, spotlighting women’s collections.

Barbaro stars alongside Callum Turner in “One Night Only,” which follows New Yorkers Allie and Owen on the one night of the year when sex is legal. The film hits theaters Friday.
