Mazarine Appoints Ex-Vestiaire Exec Marie Tobaly to Boost Global Growth

PARIS — French creative consulting group Mazarine has named former Vestiaire Collective global communications chief Marie Tobaly Meurisse chief of staff to founder and chief executive officer Paul-Emmanuel Reiffers, a newly created role designed to support the luxury communications group’s international expansion and acquisition strategy.

The appointment goes beyond a traditional chief of staff position. Tobaly Meurisse will oversee Mazarine’s corporate communications, including public, influencer and external relations as well as social media, content and events, while supporting Reiffers in implementing the group’s strategic priorities as Mazarine continues to expand internationally. She will also join the group’s strategic committee.

    The appointment is effective immediately.

“Marie’s global expertise in the luxury and fashion space will be a strong asset as we accelerate our international expansion following our recent acquisitions, and I am confident she will play a key role in strengthening our corporate image worldwide,” Reiffers said.

The hire comes as the independent communications group accelerates its international ambitions. Mazarine has expanded well beyond its flagship communications agency through a series of acquisitions, building a portfolio that now includes creative agency La Mode en Images, Numéro magazine and experiential businesses across luxury, fashion, art and culture with its subsidiaries Mazarine Experience and Arter, a producer of artistic and cultural events that Mazarine bought two years ago.

The group last month completed the acquisition of luxury lifestyle public relations firm Bacchus, which it called “the missing piece” to solidify its strategy on projects and events that reach VICs and ultra-high net worth customers in fashion, hospitality, culture and real estate.

Tobaly Meurisse said her role will continue to evolve, shifting from a communications leadership position into a broader strategic mandate.

“I am thrilled to join such a strong and inspiring player in the luxury communications space at such a pivotal moment. I look forward to contributing to Mazarine’s continued success and to being part of the company’s vision and next chapter,” she said.

“Communication is a strategic lever for the group,” she added, noting Reiffers wanted a senior executive who could both elevate Mazarine’s corporate profile and advise on wider business priorities.

In addition to leading the group’s communications function, she will help coordinate Mazarine’s international offices and support the integration of recent acquisitions as the company expands outside France.

One priority will be increasing the company’s visibility internationally, particularly in the U.S., where Mazarine has a growing presence but remains less well known than in its home market.

“He has built an incredibly strong position in France,” she said of Reiffers. “Now the challenge is developing that visibility internationally.”

The appointment also reflects a shift in the way Mazarine presents itself. Rather than promoting its individual agencies independently, the group is increasingly positioning itself as a unified international luxury services company capable of offering communications, creative production, publishing and experiential marketing under one umbrella.

Tobaly Meurisse joins from Vestiaire Collective, where she served as global head of communications. Previously, she worked in the press office at Le Bon Marché Rive Gauche, part of LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton, after beginning her career in New York.
