THE WHAT? L’Oréal India has appointed Zenith India as its new integrated media agency following a competitive review process, transferring a media account estimated to be worth between Rs 1,100 crore and Rs 1,200 crore.
THE DETAILS The mandate covers media strategy, communications planning, digital marketing, content, performance marketing, media investment and buying across L’Oréal India’s portfolio of beauty and personal care brands. The review was managed by media consultancy Ebiquity and marks the end of Wavemaker India’s 15-year relationship with the company, having managed the account since 2010. L’Oréal India operates brands including L’Oréal Paris, Garnier, Maybelline New York, NYX Professional Makeup, Kérastase, Lancôme, Kiehl’s and CeraVe. The appointment comes as beauty brands increasingly invest in retail media, creator-led marketing, social commerce, AI-powered targeting and e-commerce-driven consumer acquisition. The review also coincides with leadership changes at the company, including the appointment of Jacques Lebel as incoming India Country Manager and Sanchari Biswas as Head of Media and Digital for the Consumer Products Division.
THE WHY? The agency change reflects L’Oréal India’s focus on building a more integrated, data-driven media ecosystem capable of supporting evolving consumer journeys where content, commerce and digital engagement are increasingly interconnected.
