THE WHAT? L’Oréal has appointed Rahquel Purcell as Chief Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Officer for North America, effective immediately.
THE DETAILS Purcell succeeds Liliahn Majeed and will report to Alexis Perakis-Valat, CEO of L’Oréal USA and President of North America. She will also remain a member of L’Oréal USA’s management committee and the global DE&I leadership team. Purcell previously served as North America’s first Chief Transformation Officer, where she led enterprise-wide transformation initiatives, and has held senior operations and supply chain leadership roles since joining L’Oréal in 2016 following a 23-year career at Procter & Gamble. In her new position, she will oversee the company’s DE&I strategy across North America, with a focus on strengthening inclusive workplace practices and supporting brands in connecting with diverse consumer communities.
