THE WHAT? LG Household & Health Care delivered strong second-quarter 2026 results, with revenue and operating profit increasing as overseas growth, particularly in North America, drove earnings improvement.
THE DETAILS Second-quarter consolidated revenue rose 3.3% year-on-year to KRW 1.6574 trillion, while operating profit increased 87.5% to KRW 102.8 billion. Overseas revenue grew 12.6% to KRW 584.5 billion, representing 35% of total sales. North American revenue surged 47.3% to KRW 205.8 billion, exceeding China revenue of KRW 176 billion for the first time. The Beauty division returned to profitability, with revenue rising 3.9% to KRW 818.4 billion and operating profit reaching KRW 44.4 billion. The Home Care & Daily Beauty division recorded revenue growth of 5.5% and operating profit growth of 23.1%, supported by demand for functional products. The Refreshment division remained profitable, although operating profit declined 15.1% due to higher raw material costs. The company’s board also approved an interim dividend of KRW 1,500 per share.
THE WHY? The results highlight LG Household & Health Care’s successful geographic diversification beyond China, with North America emerging as its largest overseas market while the Beauty division returned to profit, strengthening the company’s long-term global growth strategy.
