LONDON — Joining the likes of luxury car dealers, private members’ clubs and Chanel’s new global headquarters, the redeveloped Lansdowne House on the southern end of Berkeley Square is set to bring an additional 20,000 square feet of luxury retail and dining space to Mayfair when it opens in September 2027.
The 200 million pound development, which replaces a 1980s Chapman Taylor-designed office known as the PoMo building, will also host Blackstone’s new 225,000-square-foot European headquarters.
Managed by Colliers One London team, the space features a 7,276-square-foot corner lot overlooking Berkeley Square reserved for a restaurant project. It will be paired with a 4,000-square-foot unit geared toward a major luxury, beauty, lifestyle or art player.
Sara Simpson, co-head of London Retail at Colliers One London, touted that Lansdowne House could give brands the chance to create something “highly intentional, in a setting that attracts a globally influential audience.”
Berkeley Square effectively stitches together Mayfair’s key luxury clusters as it’s a short walk from Bond Street to the east, Mount Street and Grosvenor Square to the west, and within the wider network of high-end hotels and members’ clubs that define the area’s luxury ecosystem.
Designed by Allford Hall Monaghan Morris, the new Lansdowne House will add an extension of two storys to the facade, a lengthened top canopy, and integrate a new double-height auditorium, which will serve as a hub for events.
