THE WHAT? Kohl’s has named retail operations executive Elliott Rodgers as its new Chief Operating Officer (COO), strengthening its leadership team as the company continues its transformation strategy.
THE DETAILS Rodgers will join Kohl’s on September 9, 2026, reporting directly to CEO Michael Bender. In his new role, he will oversee the retailer’s enterprise operations, including its nearly 1,200 stores, global supply chain and distribution centres, procurement, and loss prevention functions. Rodgers brings more than 20 years of leadership experience across retail, technology, finance, human resources, and supply chain management. Most recently, he served as Chief Operations Officer at Foot Locker, where he led technology, supply chain, procurement, customer care, operations strategy, and enterprise transformation initiatives. Prior to that, he held senior leadership positions at project44, Ulta Beauty, Target, and Citigroup. Kohl’s CEO Michael Bender said Rodgers’ expertise in operational execution, innovation, and team leadership makes him well-positioned to help drive the retailer’s next phase of growth.
THE WHY? The appointment comes as Kohl’s continues efforts to improve operational efficiency, enhance customer experiences, and execute its long-term transformation plans.
