Katseye’s musical skills are well-documented at this point—the Los Angeles-based global girl group was nominated for best new artist and best pop duo/group performance for their hit song “Gabriela” at the 2026 Grammy Awards—but did you know they can cook up an award-worthy meal, too?
In the latest installment of Vogue’s Now Serving series, four of the group’s five current members (Daniela Avanzini, Lara Raj, Sophia Laforteza, and Yoonchae Jeun; Megan Skiendiel was sick, but “here in spirit”) linked up in the kitchen to pull together a feast of virgin piña coladas, Buldak ramen carbonara, and chocolate cupcakes for dessert. Did the fact that they’re not all naturals in the kitchen stop them? It sure didn’t. “I don’t cook,” admits Avanzini. “I don’t try to do it. I just order food all the time.” Relatable!
The girls’ opinions differ slightly when it comes to key questions like how much pineapple juice to use in their drinks, but together, they manage to create an impressively creamy concoction while confessing their “deepest, darkest secrets” over the whirr of the blender. When the time comes to initiate the noodle-making sequence, Avanzini takes over egg-frying duties while Raj and Laforteza discuss the group’s new single “Animal,” with Laforteza laughing: “Yoonchae transformed into Ed Sheeran.”
“I’m so glad that we all like spicy food,” Jeun notes as the Buldak ramen carbonara comes together with sesame oil, flavor packets, and plenty of salty mozzarella. But no girl-group feast would be complete without dessert, so once the plates have been cleared, each member decorates her own cupcake. Trust that the final products come out as beautiful and creative as the musicians who designed them.
