I may not be as dedicated a Swiftie as some, but I am 100% locked in on any scrap of news I can glean about Taylor Swift’s relationship with—and upcoming wedding to—Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce. Thus, when I heard that Kelce was releasing a book titled No Dumb Questions: And All of Our Dumbest Answers with his brother and fellow podcaster, Jason Kelce, I couldn’t help but wonder…just how often would Swift’s name come up?
As it turns out, the answer to that question is quite simple—once. As advertised, the Kelce brothers’ book focuses primarily on answering fans’ social media–submitted queries, with Swift directly referenced only when Jason writes, of cohosting the New Heights podcast with Travis: “At the end of the day, I get to do this with my best friend on the planet. Everyone gets to see the guy we’ve seen all these years up close—the human exclamation point. Taylor really nailed it with that description.” Hey, the singer famously has a way with words!
The Kelce brothers do briefly discuss weddings as a general concept in No Dumb Questions, however, with Travis telling a fan seeking his opinion on fall weddings: “I actually don’t know people who have gotten married in the fall because all the weddings I’ve been to and all my friends always do it in the summer.”
Given Swift and Travis got engaged last August, and Kelce will be busy with football season in the fall, the as-yet-unconfirmed reports that their wedding is happening this summer—specifically, on July 3, though that’s from an anonymous source to Page Six, so…grain of salt—may just be true. If so, it seems a not-so-“Cruel Summer” is in store for the happy couple!
