THE WHAT? Unilever-owned skincare brand Dermalogica has confirmed that Global Chief Executive Officer Aurelian Lis will step down at the end of December 2026, following ten years leading the professional skincare business.
THE DETAILS Lis joined Dermalogica in 2015, shortly after its acquisition by Unilever, and has overseen significant international growth, with retail sales reportedly approaching US$1 billion. During his tenure, the brand strengthened its professional skincare positioning while expanding into selected retail channels. Tim Bunch, currently General Manager of Dermalogica North America, will assume leadership on an interim basis while a permanent successor is appointed. Dermalogica remains one of four key brands within Unilever Prestige, alongside K18, Paula’s Choice and Hourglass. Lis plans to return to entrepreneurship, focusing on opportunities involving artificial intelligence, skincare, wellness and holistic health.
THE WHY? The leadership transition marks a significant change for one of Unilever Prestige’s most established skincare businesses, as the group continues developing its premium beauty portfolio. Lis’s departure also reflects growing entrepreneurial interest in the convergence of beauty, technology and wellness.
