LONDON — Luxury executive Céline Assimon has been named chief commercial officer of resorts operator Kerzner International, owner of brands including Atlantis, One&Only, Siro and Rare Finds.
Assimon was formerly CEO of De Beers Jewellers and De Beers Forevermark. She has also served as CEO of de Grisogono and held senior roles at Louis Vuitton and Piaget. Kerzner International said it hired Assimon for her “strategic vision, refined brand stewardship, and ability to lead meaningful commercial transformation.”
In her new role, Assimon will lead the group’s commercial and brand strategy and work closely with all teams in the resorts, and head office, across the globe. The company said her appointment underscores Kerzner’s “commitment to excellence, creativity, and delivering transformative experiences for every guest.”
Assimon said she has long admired Kerzner’s “dedication to innovation, authenticity, and the art of creating unforgettable moments. I am excited to work alongside a talented team to build on this legacy, bringing fresh perspective, championing creativity, and ensuring our brands continue to inspire and delight guests around the world.”
Philippe Zuber, CEO of Kerzner International, said Assimon’s “experience across iconic brands and her passion for innovation will be invaluable as we continue to elevate our guest experience, expand our global presence, and shape the next generation of extraordinary experiences.”
Zuber added: “The future of luxury hospitality belongs to those who continuously innovate, inspire, and foster meaningful connections. We look forward to the new ideas and collaborative energy Céline will bring to our team and for the next chapter of Kerzner’s growth.”
At De Beers, Assimon repositioned the jeweler as a design-led luxury brand through the expansion of its creative product portfolio in core collections and high jewelry. She is also credited with building the jeweler’s global brand presence through relationships with top international partners, and also laid the groundwork for the launch of the Rue de la Paix flagship in Paris, which opened earlier this year.
