This summer, there have been mad rumors swirling about that Callum Turner is going to be the next James Bond. (A hard act to follow Daniel Craig, but if someone can do it, it’s Turner.) We’ll have to wait to see if Turner slips into one of Bond’s suave suits on the big screen sometime soon, however, the British actor’s most recent off-duty street style sighting proves he’s definitely got the innate style required for the part.
Yesterday, Turner was spotted touching down in Sydney, Australia ahead of the One Night Only premiere—his new (twisted) rom-com co-starring Monica Barbaro. And while there was no sign of Turner’s better half, wife Dua Lipa, at the airport with him, there was a sign of a hot accessory. Call it a case of hot man-meets-hot bag: Turner sauntered through the arrivals terminal carrying a luxurious Louis Vuitton duffel bag, strapped across his chest in a nonchalant fashion.

This was not just any ol’ monogrammed duffel, of course. Turner carried a limited-edition Darjeeling Limited Keepall, inspired by (and featured in) the 2007 Wes Anderson flick of the same name and worth about a cool $6,000. Upon closer inspection, the Damier checkerboard-print leather bag is printed with whimsical giraffes, rhinos, and elephants. It’s a playful piece, sure, but at its core, it’s also a very Bond-worthy plane bag—because Bond does everything with style and flair, even for something as mundane as a schlep through the TSA line.
Could this outfit be a hint of what’s to come? Will Turner’s Bond be less buttoned-up and serious, and more playful with his action-packed wardrobe? Goodbye, custom suits: Maybe Turner’s Bond will schlep around in hoodies and jeans, just like Turner rocked at the airport. When you look that good, you can wear a potato sack and still get away with it—we don’t blame him for going the casual route. Though Turner’s Vuitton garment bag may have held a more Bond-worthy suit inside of it. Who’s to say? He does, however, strike us more as a beer guy versus a martini-shaken-not-stirred guy.
