THE WHAT? Kering has appointed Romain Spitzer as Chief Executive Officer of Bottega Veneta, selecting the long-serving LVMH fragrance executive to lead the luxury fashion house’s next phase of growth.
THE DETAILS Spitzer will join Bottega Veneta after a 20-year career within LVMH’s fragrance division, where he most recently served as President of LVMH Fragrance Brands, overseeing brands including Givenchy, Kenzo, Acqua di Parma, Maison Francis Kurkdjian and Officine Universelle Buly. He succeeds Leo Rongone, who departed earlier this year to become Group CEO of Moncler. Before joining LVMH in 2006, Spitzer held roles at Guerlain, Jean Paul Gaultier and Yves Saint Laurent Parfums, giving him extensive experience across luxury beauty and fragrance.
THE WHY? The appointment brings proven luxury brand-building and international leadership expertise to Bottega Veneta as Kering looks to strengthen the brand’s global positioning and accelerate its long-term development.
