THE WHAT? Amorepacific has partnered with biotechnology company Junevity to develop next-generation cosmetics targeting skin ageing, alongside a strategic investment through its corporate venture arm, Amorepacific Ventures.
THE DETAILS The collaboration will combine Junevity’s RESET Platform with Amorepacific’s expertise in skin biology, cosmetic development and commercialisation. Junevity’s technology uses human disease omics, genetic linkages and machine learning and AI to identify transcription factor targets, with the partners seeking to discover and validate pathways capable of resetting ageing skin gene networks towards a healthier state. Amorepacific has also entered into a separate licensing agreement covering cosmetic applications and will lead development and commercialisation of products resulting from the research, while Junevity continues to develop therapeutic applications of its technology.
THE WHY? The partnership strengthens Amorepacific’s investment in longevity-focused skin science, bringing biotechnology, AI and gene-network research into its cosmetics R&D pipeline to identify new approaches to skin ageing and rejuvenation.
