SINGLE POUR: Beyoncé Knowles-Carter has taken full control of the SirDavid whiskey brand, after buying out the stake held by LMVH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton.

The French luxury group confirmed the sale, whose terms were not disclosed.

Knowles-Carter and the French group’s Moët Hennessy division teamed up to launch the premium liquor in 2024. The brand is named after the American artist and businesswoman’s great-grandfather, Davis Hogue, a farmer and moonshiner in the American South during Prohibition.

Headquartered in Houston, TX, the spirits brand was the first to be developed entirely internally by Moët Hennessy in the U.S., the French conglomerate said.

At the time, Bernard Arnault, chairman and chief executive officer of Moët Hennessy’s parent LVMH, deemed SirDavis “not only a revelatory and exceptional American whiskey, which we are very proud of, it is also a testament of the unwavering dedication to craftsmanship, heritage and innovation shared by LVMH and Beyoncé.”

Knowles-Carter, a Japanese whiskey enthusiast, noted that “in partnering with Moët Hennessy, [the brand had] have crafted a delicious American whisky that respects tradition but also empowers people to experience something new and unique in the category.”

Retailing for 89 euros, or $89 in the U.S., the whiskey was developed with Bill Lumsden, an award-winning master distiller who holds a PhD in biochemistry and is regarded as a leading authority on the liquor. It is bottled in Texas, Knowles-Carter’s home state.

The sale comes as the French luxury group reported a 5 percent organic revenue growth for its wine and spirits division for the first half of 2026, with profit from recurring operations up 11 percent for the same period.

The French conglomerate continues to own a 50 percent stake in Armand de Brignac, also known as Ace of Spades, the brand owned by Knowles-Carter’s husband Jay-Z, since 2021.

Meanwhile, Knowles-Carter is also the founder of the Créced beauty brand.
